Los Angeles-based indie rock outfit Rilo Kiley has an uncanny knack for designing nuanced pop songs and performing them with flair. The band is fronted by former child actors Jenny Lewis (Troop Beverly Hills) and Blake Sennett (Salute your Shorts), known for their sharp wit and onstage banter as much as their crafty musicianship. Rilo Kiley signed with indie label Barsuk Records in 2001 for its first full-length album, Take-Offs and Landings. The band then signed with Omaha's Saddle Creek Records in 2002 and released The Execution of All Things. In 2004 after receiving major label attention, they signed with Warner Brothers and released the critically acclaimed, More Adventurous. Since then, the band's songs have frequently been used on television programs, such as The O.C. and Dawson's Creek. They are now on tour to support their latest offering, Under the Blacklight.
