Mississippi rock band Saving Abel was formed in 2004 by Jared Weeks and Jason Null. Weeks was playing guitar at his best friend’s house, when Null, who was in a rival local group, walked in to rehearse with his band. Within days, Null and Weeks were writing and honing the intimate writing style that now defines Saving Abel. Rounded out by guitarist Scott Bartlett, bassist Eric Taylor, and drummer Blake Dixon, Saving Abel released its self-titled, major label debut album on March 11, 2008, featuring the single "Addicted" which is currently at No. 7 on the US Mainstream Rock Chart.
