Chimaira’s mixture of hardcore, metal, and electronics proved to be a big hit back home in Cleveland, OH, as they sold 10,000 copies of their independently issued debut EP, This Present Darkness, in 2000. The band opened for the likes of Soulfly, Hatebreed, Spineshank, and Snapcase, and eventually released four albums. Their latest, Resurrection, was released in March 2007, and the band supported the release on the road. This album has shaped up to be their heaviest and most musically technical album to date.
