Since their beginnings in Athens, GA in 1986, Widespread Panic has risen to elite status among American jam bands and established a devout grassroots following on the strength of constant touring and a loose, rootsy brand of Southern rock informed by Southern rock, blues-rock, progressive rock, funk and hard rock. Their newest album, Dirty Side Down, will be available May 25 and is comprised of 12 songs that incorporate Panic’s unique blend of rock, jazz and blues inspired textures into songs flowing with melody, rhythm and emotion. Widely renowned for their live performances, they have set several records for the number of sold-out shows in some of America's most famous venues. Widespread's current lineup includes guitarist/singer John Bell, bassist Dave Schools, drummer Todd Nance, percussionist Domingo "Sunny" Ortiz, keyboardist John "JoJo" Hermann, and guitarist Jimmy Herring.
