Ahleuchatistas is the brainchild of guitarist and composer Shane Perlowin, who founded the project in 2002 in Asheville, North Carolina, USA.  WIth the current lineup of Perlowin and drummer Ryan Oslance, Ahleuchatistas serves up shards of sonic shrapnel and white-hot free jazz abandon along with impressionistic textures, intricate unison lines, tightly-honed motifs and disciplined, shape-shifting arrangements, tempered by a penchant for thoughtful thematic development.  There are elements of punk, jazz, classical music, speed metal, grindcore, prog rock, noise, African music, electronic music, ambient music and explosive improvisation flowing organically in and out of the mix.They are currently signed to John Zorn's Tzadik records....................... Destroyed by Magnets is an experimental guitar rock trio from Knoxville, TN. The group consists of Kenny Gilbert (six string guitar), Aaron Shugart-Brown (six string baritone guitar) and Wes Wyrick (percussion). They have been described as "a dueling guitar attack of instrumental surf rock noise - mixed with break beats and stereophonic sound explosions." Armed with twin amps surrounded by a modified trap kit, these musicians want to give you a warm, reverb-drenched hug as they pound out beats and melodies that you swear you heard in a Tarantino movie somewhere.
