The Sword is an American heavy metal rock n' roll band that was formed in Austin, Texas in 2003 and has existed in its current form since early 2004. Their first album, Age of Winters, was released on Kemado Records in 2006, followed by Gods of the Earth in 2008. Since then they've toured extensively, both as a headlining act and support for bands such as Clutch, Lamb of God, and Metallica. Warp Riders, their third album for Kemado, is scheduled for release on August 24, 2010.
