General Discussion: Sundown In The City 2010 Knoxville.

I've gathered enough information to know that half the people who attend, just go to hangout with friends...

No one likes the past bands that you guys have booked for this event.

there may be a few hippies that enjoy it but that is it...

If you guys need some bands to email about doing some shows then Please reply here!

Something tells me that if you got the music you wanted
(which you never do specify) the kids would still just
hangout and talk to their friends.Every sundown I've
ever been to had a diverse group that got it.

So when can we expect an announcement on dates and/or acts?

2010

Might be too early, but looking forward to this years line up and dates.

I hope we get some good shows this year sponsored by WFIV, Farragut.
World Class!

Thanks!

Five dates? Slow economy hits hard everywhere and cultural events are the first to go. Still hoping for one or two big acts.

Any hints?

Ban chairs. That alone would solve a lot of the problem here. Countless people vow to never return it's so ridiculous. Not sure how others this year have been, but Blues Traveler was miserable tonight. Same as other shows I've seen the last couple of years with any sort of mainstream-recognizable name on stage.

Such an easy solution....

The chairs and their owners are a real nuisance. I remember posting complaints about this very topic several years ago, and viola the standing room only section was born (applause for AC). Now people are bringing their chairs down and setting them up and walking away leaving vast expanses of space that no one can access. What makes it even worse is the sense of entitlement that the chairs bring to their owners. 90% of the people are in the loge areas and 10% in the prime viewing/listening areas. Sorry for the rant, but it does suck the fun out of the whole affair.

On a lighter note I posted my recording of the Blues Traveler show on etree.org. Check it out here:

Can't wait for the Truckers!
