General Discussion: The Gourds April 4th at the Rose Center in Morristown



Anyone going to The Gourds concert at the Rose Center in Morristown? Saw them last year at the Bijou, it was a great show.





I've never been to the Rose Center; isn't it a fairly new venue? When is the show?





THe Rose Center is an arts center in Morrsitown. Show is Friday April 4th and starts at 8:00. Tickets are $22 and it's byob. You can call 423-581-4330 for tickets. Pretty cool venue with reserved seating at large tables.





did someone say byob? sounds awesome. i saw the gourds when they were at the bijou, too. i didn't realize the rose center even existed. thanks for the heads up cedarhillcrew.

The Rose Center is an old school that was built in 1892. Paul Thorn was there in August last year, it was a blast. Tickets are a little higher but if you don't have to buy $4 beers you come out way ahead. The show at The Bijou last May was off the hook, can't wait till April. Hope to see y'all there.





I forgot to mention that Shinyribs will open at 8:00. Shinyribs is The Gourds lead singer Kevin Russell's solo show. If you saw The Gourds at The Bijou you know how good Kevin Russell is by himself. When he opened with "God's House" last year it gave me goose bumps. His show will last about 45 minutes and The Gourds will crank at 9:00 and play till 10:30 - 11:00
