General Discussion: Lou Reed Vs. Clutch

I just realized that they are playing the same night here in Knoxville and I just can't choose between them.
I may never have a chance to see LOu Reed again, but I know what to expect from a Clutch show.
I love " From Beale St. to Oblivion" and I read somewhere that Lou's newest album is meditational music. ( I am sure that he will be playing songs from his entire catalogue, but....)

If I have the $$ i will try and do both since Lou will more than likely be finished before 11 and Clutch will probably start around 10:30 ish.

who would you chose if you could only go to one show that night??

so no one else is having this conundrum?

I think the first half of your second sentence answers your question. You're just plagued by the unknown. Clutch will play here again. Will Lou Reed? Lou Reed is in his 60s.

ok... and then i just found out that clutch is actually starting much earlier than i expected (like, 9:00).

arg.

yeah, valarium shows start so much earlier than i thought they would...i mean sometimes at blue cats, shows wouldn't start until after 11 (headliners anyway) and all the shows i've been to at the valarium are over by midnight...what's up with that?

and i think i'm going to see clutch instead.

OMG i am so excited about tonight!
i am going to both!

Due to vocal injury CLUTCH will perform as THE BAKERTON GROUP tonight (Wednesday, April 30) at The Valarium in Knoxville, TN and tomorrow (Thursday, May 1) at The Orange Peel in Asheville, NC. Members are Neil Fallon, Dan Maines, Tim Sult, and Jean-Paul Gaster. THE BAKERTON GROUP will perform a full instrumental live show alongside special guests Kamchatka and Lionize.

Tickets for THE BAKERTON GROUP with Kamchatka and Lionize will be $10 at the door.

If you already have CLUTCH tickets and you still want to see THE BAKERTON GROUP you will be able to get an $8 refund per ticket at the door.

If you already have CLUTCH tickets and you want a full refund you will need to contact the ticket outlet at which you originally purchased your tickets.

We plan to announce re-scheduled CLUTCH shows for Knoxville and Asheville soon, and we hope that everyone will still come out and support THE BAKERTON GROUP.

If you already have CLUTCH tickets and you want a full refund you will need to contact the ticket outlet at which you originally purchased your tickets. All requests for refunds must be submitted within two (2) weeks from the show date. No late requests for refunds will be accepted.

it will still be a great show.

Lou Reed is legit.
