The Tennessee Theatre

When it opened in 1928, the Tennessee Theatre was hailed as "the South's most beautiful theatre." The Historic Tennessee Theatre reopened in January 2005 after a brief closure and a $24.4 million restoration. With its original architecture, design and colors restored, Knoxville's Grand Entertainment Palace returns to its original splendor with the addition of state-of-the-art lighting and sound and beautifully appointed lobby and auditorium. The majestic Tennessee Theatre is a world-class performing arts center that hosts a wide variety of entertainment, from rock legends to jazz luminaries to international dance companies and famous speakers.

The Bijou Theatre

Housed in the fourth oldest building in the state of Tennessee, the Bijou Theatre reopened as a concert venue in June 2006 after a short refurbishment and several years as a producing theater. Now under the management of A.C. Entertainment, the Bijou is known for its remarkably intimate atmosphere and outstanding acoustics. The 750-seat venue hosts a variety of national and area performing artists, including jazz ensembles, choral groups, solo and small instrumental groups, student opera productions, local musical theater. In addition, the Bijou strives to bring special cultural and entertainment events that will enrich the lives of East Tennesseans, stimulate cultural diversity, promote the growth of downtown, and reflect excellence in the performing arts.

Blue Cats Live

Frequently voted Best Rock Club in the annual Metro Pulse readers' poll, Blue Cats hosts a wide array of musical acts—from major rock bands like My Morning Jacket, Sister Hazel, Sevendust and Drive-By Truckers to showcases of popular local bands and the best touring tribute bands in the country. Situated in the heart of Knoxville’s downtown entertainment district, the Old City, Blue Cats and its courtyard neighbor Tonic combine every Saturday night to become Fiction, Knoxville’s premiere dance night hosted by DJ Slink, voted Knoxville’s best DJ four years in a row. Blue Cats, Tonic and the VIP room are also available for corporate and/or private functions.

The Orange Peel

The Orange Peel Social Aid & Pleasure Club of Asheville, North Carolina is a music hall and concert venue presenting the best in live music, from rock to jam to acoustic. Featuring local and national touring acts in a non-smoking atmosphere, The Orange Peel provides some of the best entertainment in Western North Carolina. A few highlights in the venue’s short career include playing host to live recordings by the likes of Son Volt, James McMurtry, and Gillian Welch, plus a starring role in short ditty and video made by They Might Be Giants. The club also hosts a number of benefits and private events and serves as an anchor for cultural events in this renaissance city.
