Newly Announced: Death Cab for Cutie with Magik*Magik Orchestra

When the concept of taking Death Cab for Cutie on tour with an orchestra first entered the blog-o-sphere, the idea was closer to a far-off fantasy than feasible possibility.  After featuring string accompaniment on "Codes and Keys," playing a set of live dates that recreate the studio versions has been an aspiration since the album was released.

Experience Hendrix: Billy Cox

Although most of the artists on the Experience Hendrix tour have ties to Jimi Hendrix, legendary bassist Billy Cox had a remarkable history with the guitarist that didn’t begin on stage or in the studio. The two musicians became acquainted in 1961 while serving in the Army at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, but the camaraderie wasn’t cut short after their service.
