Since their debut album Orchid in 1995, Swedish heavy metal legends Opeth have seen countless lineup changes and exponential growth in fanbase. Although the group rarely made live appearances in its early years, they've conducted several world tours, fostering heavy metal culture across the globe. Now, Opeth embarks upon the Heritage Hunter Tour with Mastodon, the Atlanta-based metal band with an equally die-hard following. Mastodon may sound familiar even to those alien to the heavy-metal world; they composed the score for big-screen flick Jonah Hex, and are, according to Rolling Stone, "the greatest metal band of their generation." With two mammoth headliners like Opeth and Mastodon, audience members will have the distinct satisfaction of a performance from Ghost, whose debut album Opus Eponymous was released early last year to critical acclaim. Just announced this week, the outstanding lineup of the Heritage Hunter Tour will be stopping off at The Tennessee Theatre on Monday, April 16. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 3.
